I do dare my dears! You can too! This is a yummy and delicious dinner in 40 minutes if you date!
The ingredients are simple: Chicken hearts cleaned and soaked to get all the blood out. Onion, mushrooms sliced. You can use fresh as well as canned but the difference is enormous. Fresh mushrooms that add loads of flavour. Salt, pepper, rosemary, flour to thicken the stew. In this particular bowl you see some brussel sprouts that I found in the fridge. They were not happy there so i decided to throw them in, but you can skip them or replace with something else that you like. I just thought that it would be nice to add some vitamin C.
We start with frying two onions in oil and a spoon of butter. When onions become translucent add mushrooms. Fry for about 5 minutes then add your nicely soaked hearts cut in half. Salt, lots of pepper. After a few minutes pour over water water and rosemary. Cook until your hearts are nice and tender. If you want to add something green you can add green peppers at this point so that they are still nice and crispy. Lastly, thicken your stew with some flour or corn flour and it is ready!
I serve it with a slice of a freshly baked bread or add boiled cubed or mashed potatoes, but this time I added some white beans and it was equally delicious. This will be delicious anyway you serve. Use your taste buds as your guide. Enjoy!!
