Steak and Broccoli Salad

Let's see. I defrosted a small piece of steak and I had two bunches of broccoli in the fridge. What Should I do with it. I am going to buy some red onion and I will be right back to tell you about my plan!

I am thinking this broccoli and steak salad can be hot or cold. Whichever is convenient.
Clean and cut up beef steak into pieces. This wonderful broccoli deserves a bit of steaming and salt. When it is light green in colour but still firm it is ready to be drained and let to rest in a bowl of cold water but I guess you have heard it before.

In a large pan put oil and butter and fry up the steak (don't forget to rub some salt and pepper on it). When the meat changes colour add sliced carrots and onions and sprinkle some onion powder or if you have garlic powder. I ran out so I used onion powder instead.

After a short while my pan ran dry so I poured a bit of beer and water, and voila! I covered the pan and let the meat stew until tender. This will also make my dressing.
Once everything gets soft and yummy, I added broccoli and my salad is ready! You can have it hot or cold. You can leave it the way it is or add some carbs. Eat it over sticky rice, chow mein noodles. Call it a stretch but I would even have it mixed with some beans! It is all up to your liking and your imagination.

What I am saying is, it is your plate, you do what you like!

Enjoy your meal!
